Gary's greatest pride and joy were his children, Michael, Kathleen and Shaun and his Grandchildren. He was very proud of his Irish Heritage and loved to recite Irish poems and sing Irish songs. Gary was a fun loving man with many friends who loved and cared for him. In the early 1970's Gary founded and coached a Babe Ruth Baseball Team in Lanesborough, MA and ensured that the sport of baseball continued in the community for his sons' and their teammates to enjoy; a sport that Gary and his sons truly enjoyed sharing together. Many merchants from Lanesborough helped sponsor the team that led to the naming of the team; Lanesborough Merchants.
