George P. Intelisano Sr.

1923-2013 Mr. George P. Intelisano Sr., 90, died Saturday evening, October 19, 2013, at Berkshire Medical Center with his family by his side. He resided at the home of his daughter, 22 Sadler Ave., he had formally lived on Capri Terrace. Born in Pittsfield on July 22, 1923 the son of Antonio and Catherine Intelisano, he attended local schools. Mr. Intelisano worked for D M Intelisano Construction alongside his son David and grandsons for many years. He had previously worked for V.J. Stracuzzi Construction for many years and was a custodian at night for General Electric. He enjoyed going to Florida to watch is son ride horses, trips to the casino and spending time with his family. He was predeceased by his wife, the former Mary Lefkowitz, she died on July 9, 2003. Mr. Intelisano is survived by his three children, George P. Intelisano Jr. of Pittsfield, Karen M. Keen of Pittsfield, with whom he made his home and David M. Intelisano Sr. and his wife Maureen of Pittsfield; beloved grandfather to Dr. Joseph R. Keen, Neurosurgeon, of CA, and his wife Megan, David M. Intelisano Jr., Mark Intelisano and Kellie Intelisano Sova all of Pittsfield; he is also survived by his older living brother of 96 years, Frank Intelisano and his beloved great grandson, Rhodes Paul Keen. He was predeceased by his sisters, Josephine Sacchetti, Virginia Spinelli and Rose Stracuzzi, and his brother Anthony Intelisano and a half brother, Joseph Stracuzzi. George also leaves his special caregiver, Donna Marie Morton. FUNERAL NOTICE: Funeral services for Mr. George P. Intelisano Sr. will be Wednesday, October 23, 2013 at 9 a.m. from the Dwyer Funeral Home, 776 North St., Pittsfield MA with a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. at St. Charles Church, celebrated by Rev. A. Peter Gregory, pastor. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery. Calling hours at the funeral home will be Tuesday, October 22, 2013 from 4 to 7 p.m. In addition to flowers, if friends desire, donations may be made to the , care of the Dwyer Funeral Home, in his memory.
