Georgia F. Nicholas
1942 - 2014 WILLIAMSTOWN Georgia Francesca Nicholas, 72, of Cathedral City, Calif., passed away after a long illness, on May 11, 2014, with her family by her side. She was born in New York City, N.Y. on Jan. 15, 1942, the daughter of George and Francesca Nicholas. She graduated from St. Vincent's School of Nursing in Los Angeles, Calif. She worked for most of her life as a nurse, caring for others. Her real passions, though, were art and her animals. She was an accomplished metal sculptor with fountains in the United States and Hong Kong. She provided homes for numerous dogs, including Greyhound and Doberman Rescues. Her heart and home will always be in Williamstown, where she resided for over 30 years, raising her family and caring for a menagerie of animals. She is survived by her two daughters, Rachelle Gates of Averill Park, N.Y. and Stephanie Glick of Santa Ana, Calif. FUNERAL NOTICE: There will be no services. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Berkshire Humane Society.
