Geraldine M. Curro "Gerry" 1929-2011 PITTSFIELD Geraldine M. Curro "Gerry", 82, of 141 Imperial Avenue, Pittsfield, died Tuesday, January 10, 2012, peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family. Born November 16, 1929, the daughter of Napoleon "Paul" Roberge and Geraldine Roberge, she was a graduate of St. Joseph High School. Mrs. Curro was a homemaker and an avid gardener who loved flowers and enjoyed baking. She had an infectious smile and a genuine love of life. She enjoyed family vacations and especially spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She leaves her husband of 61 years, Francis A. Curro, whom she married at Notre Dame Church on August 19, 1950. She is survived by her daughter Susan Richardson and her husband John of Pittsfield; three sons, Francis Curro, Jr. and his wife Susan of Pittsfield, Paul Curro and his wife Margaret of Pittsfield, and John Curro and his wife Mary Beth of Dalton; ten grandchildren, Justin, Michael, David, Eric, Lisa, Kristin, Katelyn, Meghan, Kevin, and Andrew, and five great grandchildren, Ella, Noah, Mae, Samuel, and Jaden. She is also survived by her sister Louise LeCompte of Concord, N.H., and her brother Robert Landry of North Carolina. She was predeceased by a grandson, Patrick J. Curro. FUNERAL NOTICE: Funeral services for Geraldine M. Curro will be held on Saturday, January 14, with a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 9 a.m. at Sacred Heart Church celebrated by Rev. James K. Joyce, Pastor. Burial will follow in St. Joseph's Cemetery. A celebration of her life will follow at Zucchini's Restaurant. In keeping with her wishes, there are no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Sacred Heart Church or to Hospice Services of Western Massachusetts in care of DERY FUNERAL HOME, 54 Bradford Street, Pittsfield, MA 01201.
