1940 - 2015 PITTSFIELD Gertrude Anne "Snooky" Creran, 74, died Tuesday, March 3, after a short illness at Kimball Farms, surrounded by family. She was born in Pittsfield on Dec. 10, 1940 the daughter of the late Charles and Eva Glennon Creran. She was a 1958 graduate of Pittsfield High School. Gert worked at G.E. from 1959, until retiring from Lockeed-Martin in 1995. In addition to being an avid Red Sox fan, Gert loved gardening, taking trips to the casinos, and playing with her beloved dogs. She leaves her sister, Mary Morse; her nephew, Stephen Morse, his wife, Cori; and numerous cousins; as well as her Zuchon dog, Candy. Gert's was predeceased by a brother, William Creran, who died on May 27, 2008. FUNERAL NOTICE: Funeral services will be Saturday, March 7, at 8:30 a.m. from the DWYER FUNERAL HOME, 776 North St., Pittsfield with a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 9:30 a.m. at St. Mark's Church, celebrated by the Rev. David Aufiero, Parochial Vicar. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery. Calling hours at the funeral home will be Friday, March 6, from 4 - 7 p.m. If friends desire, donations in her memory may be made to the Berkshire Humane Society in care of the funeral home.
