Harris M. Bleau 1928-2012 NORTH ADAMS Harris M. Bleau, 83, formerly of 85 Eagle St., died Wednesday, February 29, 2012 at the North Adams Commons Care Center. Born in North Adams on May 11, 1928, son of the late Harris A. and Jessie Walden Bleau he attended North Adams schools. Mr. Bleau was employed with several local area mill companies including the former Brightwater Paper Co., and his last place of employment the Former Arnold Print Works, both in Adams. He was also a an independent contractor for local Northern Berkshire city and town cemeteries, and as a great enthusiast of music and art, he worked as a tour guide for the Clark Art Institute in Williamstown. Mr. Bleau was a World War II U.S. Navy veteran serving in the Pacific Theater. He was an avid reader and in his younger years enjoyed hunting and fishing. He was a communicant of the Parish of Elizabeth of Hungary in North Adams. His wife, the former Carmel M. Roberts, who he married on November 9, 1955, died October 24, 2010. He is survived by one daughter, Jeanne Bordeau and her long time companion Richard Guyette Sr. of North Adams. Two sons, Roger A. LaMarre and his wife Shirley of S.C., and Stephen A Bleau and his wife Beverly of North Adams. Seven grandchildren, Melissa Martin and her husband Bernard, Charlene Sitas and her husband Christopher, Lori Aubin and her husband Dana, Roger A. LaMarre Jr., Stephanie Sadlow and her husband Brian, Crystal Bleau, Katie Hayes and her husband James. Ten great grandchildren, Candice Martin, Jeffrey Popielarczyk, Kyle and Jaclyn Aubin, Alison and Austin Sadlow, Dillon Anthony Hayes, Nina, Alexis and Dean Sitas, and one great great grandchild, Max Danylieko. FUNERAL NOTICE: Calling hours for Harris M. Bleau will take place Monday, March 5, 2012 from 4 to 7 p.m. from the TROTTIER PRINGLE FUNERAL HOME, 6 Summer St., Adams. A grave side service and burial will take place Thursday, March 8, 2012 at 10 a.m. in Bellevue Cemetery in Adams. Donations in his memory can be made to Hospice of the Berkshires in care of the funeral home.
