Helen Kline Albertazzi

Helen Kline Albertazzi 81 of Higgins Street Great Barrington died peacefully with her family by her side at Fairview Commons on Tuesday, July 23, 2013. She was born in Great Barrington, the daughter of the late George and Margretta Berbusse Kline. Helen was educated in local schools and graduated from the former Searles High School in 1950.

Helen worked at Butternut Day Care, Jennifer House and Country Curtains in Housatonic. She loved spending time with family; especially her two grandchildren. Helen enjoyed the outdoors and her frequent walks in the town in which she grew up.

As a young woman she was a member of the Cove Bowling League, enjoyed biking, ice skating, fishing and swimming with her family, and braved the cold waters of Green River and Hampton Beach.

She was a member of the Daughters of Isabella and communicant of St. Peter's Church.

Helen's husband Victor A. Albertazzi Sr., whom she married on May 5, 1952, predeceased her on September 23, 2000.

Helen is survived by one son and two daughters; Victor A. Albertazzi Jr. of Great Barrington, Lynn A. Kinne and Peter Kinne of Sheffield, Gina A. Miller and John Miller of Kattskill Bay N.Y., one sister Alice Kline Mullen of Sheffield two sisters-in-law Mary Albertazzi Newman of Pittsfield and Dora Albertazzi Bona of Lee and two grandchildren Sarah Kinne and Max Miller along with many nieces, nephews and cousins. In addition to her husband Victor, Helen was also predeceased by her sister Dorothy Kline.

FUNREAL NOTICE: Funeral services for Helen will be held on Saturday, July 27 at 9:30 a.m. from the BIRCHESROY FUNERAL HOME with a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. at St. Peter's Church celebrated by Reverend William P. Murphy officiating. Burial will follow in St. Peter's Cemetery. Calling hours are from 6-8PM on July 26 at the BIRCHES-ROY FUNERAL HOME.

In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy in Helen's memory may be made to Southern Berkshire Elderly Transportation Company or St. Peter's Church, both in care of the BIRCHES-ROY FUNERAL HOME 33 South Street Great Barrington, MA. 01230.
