Helen Elizabeth Kuchman Obituary
We celebrate the life of our beloved mother and wife, Helen Elizabeth Kuchman, 84, of Palm Coast, Florida, formerly of Pittsfield and Lenox, MA, who passed on Wednesday, November 8, at Florida Flagler Hospice Care Center. Born May 25, 1933, in West Milford, NJ. She was the daughter of Carl Baker and Lena Davis, and sister of Carol Seibert, Kay Ashley, Richard Baker, and Madeline Sparling.

After starting her family, Helen continued her education, graduating from Berkshire Community College with a degree in Early Childhood Development, and a Preschool Teacher Certification. She worked many years for a local preschool. After a career change, Helen worked for over 16 years for Dr. Raymond Haling Jr. and obstetrician /gynecologist in Pittsfield.

Among many interests, Helen was an avid sailor on their large sailboat. She loved playing and watching golf, and was VP of the Ladies Golf League. She enjoyed traveling with her husband throughout the US, Canada, Hawaii and most of Europe. Helen had a green thumb, a talent for sewing straight and curvy lines, crocheted blankets for every grand and great grandchild, and best of all, could rival Julia Childs in the kitchen.

Helen is survived by her husband, Gerard (Jerry) Kuchman, her three children; Lynn (Jim) Chow, Tom (Cheryl) Franco, Laura(Peter) Cassavant; and three step-children; Linda (Steve) Cofelice, Karen (Tom) Cox, David (Diane) Kuchman. Also, 13 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.

A funeral mass will be held at 9am on December 8th, at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, North St. Pittsfield, MA, with burial following at St. Joseph's Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, please offer prayers.
