Helen Jean Mougin 1931-2014 LEE Helen Jean Mougin, 82, of Robert Street, Lee, died at her home on Thursday, June 12, 2014. Born in Pittsburgh, Pa. on October 22, 1931, she was the daughter of Joseph and Mary Dolinsky Kolin, and was a 1949 graduate of Cambridge Springs High School in Cambridge Springs, Pa. Throughout her employment history, Helen worked as a waitress, and was previously employed by the Lee Council on Aging, Berkshire Hills North Nursing Home and Country Curtains. She volunteered for over a decade at Jacobs Pillow, Berkshire Theater Festival, Berkshire Garden Center, Mahaiwe Theater and Tanglewood. She also served as a volunteer with the Berkshire Scenic Railway, Berkshire Museum, the Pittsfield Senior Center, the National Music Foundation, the Berkshire Opera Company, and Boy Scout Troop 26 in Becket. Helen loved bird watching and being in the outdoors and spent many hours tending to and enjoying her yard and garden. Helen is survived by her son, David Edward Mougin and his wife, Jocelyn Sison Mougin, of Aiea, Hawaii; and two sisters; Bette Hamilton and her husband, Frederick and Terri Buckwalter and her husband, Rob. She also leaves two nieces, one nephew and numerous cousins. Helen was predeceased by her son, James Joseph Mougin, who died in 1975; and her former husband, William E. Mougin, who died in 1989. FUNERAL NOTICE: A Liturgy of Christian Burial for Helen J. Mougin will be held Friday, June 27, 2014 at 10 a.m. at St. Mary's Church, Main Street, Lee, with the Rev. John K. Sheaffer, Pastor, officiating. There are no calling hours and burial will be private.
