Helen M. Roberts Richard

1916-2014 Helen M. (Roberts) Richard, 98, of Hereford, AZ, and formally of North Adams, MA. passed away on Sunday, March 2, 2014 surrounded by her loving family. She was born in North Adams, MA on Monday, January 3, 1916, daughter of Joseph T. and Mary (O'Neill) Roberts. She graduated for St. Joseph's High School and worked as a social worker for her entire working career. She was a Communicant of St. Francis of Assisi Church. She was active in the Rosary Society and volunteered at many church functions. She was also volunteered with the American Red Cross and Received her 25 pin for her service. She enjoyed spending time with her family, traveling, reading and doing cross word puzzles. She was the widow of Anthony M. Richard who died on December 1, 1973. They were married on September 30, 1939 in St. Francis of Assisi Church by the Rt.Rev. Msgr. Edward P. Dunphy. Survivors include her daughter, Ann and son-in-law Robert Caprari of Hereford, AZ., whom she made her home since 2010. She is also survived by two grandchildren, Michael Caprari and his wife, Delena of Cheyenne, WY, and Michelle Caprari of Jamestown, CO.; three sisters: Mildred Manson and Marcil Remillard both of North Adams and Mary Ferro of Tucson, AZ.; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded by her parents, Joseph and Mary Roberts and three brothers; Joseph Roberts of North Adams, MA, Ernest Roberts of Spring Lake, NC and William Roberts of North Adams, MA. Memorial services and mass will be held on April 25th at 11 A.M. at Saint Elizabeth of Hungary Church in North Adams, MA. The family asked that donation be made in her name to Saint Elizabeth of Hungary Church in North Adams. MA.
