Henry A. Newton
1964 - 2013 PITTSFIELD Henry A. Newton, 48, of 561 Benedict Road passed away Feb. 2, 2013, at Berkshire Medical Center, following a sudden illness.
Born June 19, 1964 in Pittsfield, the son of Henry and Marion Gwinnell Newton, he was a 1983 graduate of Taconic High School.
Henry was employed at United Parcel Service for 15 years until becoming disabled in 2008.
He enjoyed bowling, playing in pool leagues, watching NASCAR and was a collector of many things.
He leaves his wife, the former Wendy O'Bert, whom he married Nov. 1, 1991; his sons, Brad A., Alexander T., and Jacob T. Newton; his father, Henry Newton and his wife, Susan; stepsisters Jody Desrochers and her husband, Martin, and Tammy Boone and her husband, Dave; sisters-in-law, Mandy Newton and Michelle Flynn and her husband, Michael; brothers-in-law, Philip O'Bert and Robert O'Bert; father -in-law, Philip O'Bert and his wife Mary; mother-in-law, Elizabeth White, and many nieces and nephew and many friends.
Henry was predeceased by his brother, Eric Newton.
FUNERAL NOTICE: Funeral services for Henry A. Newton will be Thursday, Feb. 7, at 1 p.m. with the Rev. Richard Hayes officiating. Burial will follow in the Pittsfield Cemetery. Calling hours will be held the day of the service from 11 a.m. until the start of the service at 1 p.m. at the funeral home.
