1920 - 2012 Obituary Condolences
PITTSFIELD - Hope C. Adams, 91, formerly of Whitman St., and most recently of Berkshire Place, passed away Saturday, May 12, at Berkshire Medical Center.
Born June 20, 1920, in Pittsfield, daughter of George F. and Dorothy M. Desmond Clark, she was a 1940 graduate of Pittsfield High School and a 1942 graduate of the former Berkshire Business College. Hope was employed for 17 years at Western Massachusetts Supply Inc., and for 12 years as the membership secretary at the First Baptist Church. She had been a member of the First Baptist Church since 1935.
She married George A. Adams on July 8, 1944; he died Aug. 20, 2003.
Hope leaves her brother, George D. Clark and his wife, Cecile, of Pittsfield; niece, Deborah C. Bishop of Weatogue, CT; nephews, G. Peter Clark and his wife Beth of Portland, CT, Mark F. Clark and his wife Lucy of Tolland, CT; three great- grandnephews, Brett Bishop, Brian Bishop, Anton Clark, and a great-grandniece Alexandra Clark.
FUNERAL NOTICE: A memorial service for Hope C. Adams will be held Friday, May 18, at 11 a.m. at First Baptist Church, with the Rev. Quentin Chin oficiating. Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family in the Pittsfield Cemetery. There will be no calling hours.
