1946 - 2014 CLARKSBURG Howard William Evans, 67, of 77 Mountain View Drive, Clarksburg, died Monday afternoon, May 26, 2014, at Berkshire Medical Center in Pittsfield. He was born in North Adams on July 1, 1946, son of the late Howard and Sarah Taft Evans. He attended North Adams schools, graduated from Drury High School, and later earned his Bachelor's Degree in Business from Bentley College in Boston. Howard worked as an accountant in the Office of Fiscal Affairs at Massachusetts College of Liberal Arts, and its predecessor, North Adams State College, for over 30 years, until retiring in 2004. He attended the former St. John's Episcopal Church, now All Saints Episcopal Church, North Adams. He was an avid bowler, and bowled with the North Adams Classic Bowling League for many years. He also enjoyed golfing, fishing, and horse racing. He is survived by his wife of 39 years, the former Janice M. Tenczar, whom he married on May 3, 1975; a daughter, Julie Kucyn and her husband, Andrew, of Billerica, Mass.; a son, William Evans and his wife, Shannon, of Burke, Va.; four grandchildren, Timothy and Katherine Kucyn, and Logan and Abigail Evans; his sister, Sandra Evans of North Adams, and several nieces, nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews, and brothers and sisters-in-law. FUNERAL NOTICE: The funeral will be held on Friday, May 30, at 11:45 a.m. from the PACIOREK FUNERAL HOME, 13 Hoosac St. Adams, followed by the Burial Office at 1 p.m. in All Saints Episcopal Church, North Adams, celebrated by the Rev. Dr. Stephen White, Priest-In-Charge. Burial will follow in Bellevue Cemetery in Adams. Calling hours are Thursday from 5 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home.
