1916 - 2014 PITTSFIELD Irene Bott, 97, of Pittsfield, passed away on Jan. 31, 2014. Born in Brooklyn, N.Y., in 1916, she was the daughter of Stanislaus and Karolina (Seredynski) Kobielski. Mrs. Bott worked as a secretary for the Royal Typewriter Co. in New York for 19 years. She was also a homemaker and caretaker for her parents. She moved to Stephentown, N.Y., in 1955, and to Pittsfield in 1988. Mrs. Bott was one of the first residents of Salisbury Estates. In Stephentown, she was a communicant of St. Joseph's Church and a member of the Rosary Altar Society and later a communicant of St. Mark Church in Pittsfield. Mrs. Bott was predeceased by her husband, Frank Bott, and by her brother Edward Kobielski. She is survived by two nieces, Carol Kobielski, of Enfield, Conn., and Laureen Docar and her husband, Joe, of Hillsborough, N.J., and their children, Linda and Tom. Irene is also survived by her nephew, Robert Kern, and his wife, Susan, of Danbury, Conn., and their children, Haley and Mikhail, and her sister-in-law, Julia Kobielski. FUNERAL NOTICE: Funeral services for Mrs. Irene Bott will be Tuesday, Feb. 4, 2014, with a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. at St. Mark Church, celebrated by the Rev. David Aufiero, Parochial Vicar. Burial will follow in St. Joseph's Cemetery in Stephentown, N.Y.
