Irma DiNicola Obituary
Irma Gagliardi DiNicola

1927 - 2014 PITTSFIELD Irma Gagliardi DiNicola, 86, of Charlotte, N.C., died peacefully on May 21, 2014, at Brookdale South Charlotte Senior Living, Charlotte, N.C. Beloved wife of Daniele DiNicola of Charlotte; loving mother of Bruno DiNicola and his wife, Linda, of El Paso, Texas, and Winston DiNicola and his wife, Beth, of Matthews, N.C.; devoted daughter of the late Donato and Carmela Rocci Gagliardi; cherished grandmother of Jennipher, Jane, and Amanda June DiNicola; caring sister of Isolina Ciccone of Sambuceto Chieti, Italy, the late Yolanda DiBiase, and Norina Toro. She also leaves two wonderful great-grandchildren, Tyler and Isabella Mandel of Pittsfield. A dedicated seamstress, she began her trade by designing and making women's dress clothes and wedding dresses in Sambuceto Chieti, Italy. She moved to Pittsfield in 1971 with Daniele and her two sons, Bruno and Winston, where the family joined the family of the late Antonio and Antonietta DiNicola, brother and sister-in-law of Daniele. She continued to dedicate herself to her trade, working in factories making clothes for large labels like Burlington Coat Factory and Jones New York, while continuing to raise her two sons. Irma enjoyed cooking and looked forward to serving family feasts and hosting holiday gatherings.
