Isabel A. Rodowicz

1925-2012 Mrs. Isabel A. (Ordyna) Rodowicz, 87, formerly of 19 Smith St. Adams, died Thursday afternoon, August 16, 2012, at Mt. Greylock Extended Care Facility in Pittsfield.

She was born in Adams on January 19, 1925, a daughter of the late Michael and Aniela (Subik) Ordyna. She attended Adams schools, and also completed training as a librarian. Mrs. Rodowicz last worked as a librarian at C.T. Plunkett Elementary School in Adams. Earlier, she worked as a librarian at St. Stanislaus Kostka Elementary School.

She was a communicant of St. Stanislaus Kostka Church, Adams.

She enjoyed arts and crafts, and had created favors for many celebrations at the former Adams Nursing Home in Adams for many years. She was known for the warm smile she constantly wore, and was known as ?Sunshine ? by many who knew her.

Her husband, Stanley A. Rodowicz, whom she married on April 19, 1947, died on January 16, 1996.

She is survived by a daughter, Mary Rinaldi and her husband. Michael, of Adams; two sons, John Rodowicz and his wife Dawn, of Weston, Mass.; and Robert Rodowicz and his wife, Darlene, of Cheshire; a sister, Helen Shaw, of Adams; 11 Grandchildren, Christopher, Gabrielle, Lauren, Emily, Megan and Matthew Rodowicz; Lea Cudworth, Michael and Andrew Rinaldi, and Juliet and Joey Lauricella; and several nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews.

She was predeceased by a brother, Casimer Ordyna; and by three sisters, Frieda Soja, Josephine Kazlauskas and Elizabeth Rysz.

FUNERAL NOTICE: The funeral will be held on Tuesday, August 21st, at 9 a.m. from the PACIOREK FUNERAL HOME, 13 Hoosac St. Adams, followed by a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in St. Stanislaus Kostka Church, Adams, celebrated by Rev. Daniel J. Boyle, pastor of the Parish of Blessed John Paul.

Burial will follow in St. Stanislaus Kostka Cemetery, Adams.

Calling hours are Monday from 5 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home.
