Jack Callahan Obituary
Jack Callahan passed away on December 30, 2018 in California, surrounded by family. He was born in Adams and the fifth child of the late Louis E. Callahan and Esther H. (Dick) Callahan. Jack is survived by his wife of 68 years, Lucille L. (Denault) Callahan and daughters JoAnn Gillis, Susan Black,Tammy Bandong, and son John G. Callahan Jr. He also leaves eight Grandchildren and seven Great-Grandchildren. Jack was predeceased by his siblings Dorothy, Clyde, Clifford, Ewart, Esther H. Quinn, Carl ('Cal") Callahan.

He graduated from Adams Memorial High School in 1946. In High School he was a member of various clubs and athletic teams. He was most proud of his participation on his High School's Basketball State Championship team. After High School he proudly joined the U.S. Navy and served two years before returning to Adams where he met his wife Lucille and started his career at General Electric. He worked for G.E. for over 20 years and even worked on space programs in Alabama. In 1969 he left General Electric and moved his family to California. Jack had a successful career with various Silicon Valley Tech Companies and retired in the late 80's as a Senior V.P. of Manufacturing. In his retirement he continued to work as a Realtor in Palm Desert and enjoyed time with family and friends. As many of you know, he loved to correspond and share his thoughts on EMAIL (all caps of course!).

Private services will be held in California.
