Mr. Shreenan was a U.S. Army World War II veteran. He was stationed in the Panama Canal Zone with the 33rd Infantry Unit. Jack supervised and conducted classes in elementary English for military personnel along with general education development. After an honorable discharge, he attended The College of the Holy Cross in Worcester, graduating in 1951. Upon graduation, he entered the management training program for General Electric in Pittsfield. Jack served as the manager of traffic and shipping for the power transformer division, retiring in 1986. During retirement he volunteered endless hours at The Hancock Shaker Village, Tanglewood and the Pittsfield Tourism Booth. He is survived by his loving wife of 59 years, Elizabeth "Liz" Flynn Shreenan of Southwick, his daughter Elizabeth "Beth" Shreenan Lusteg, her husband David and their two sons, Matthew and Patrick, of Westfield.
