Jacqueline Mae McLain Quirk 1935-2012 CLARKSBURG Mrs. Jacqueline Mae McLain Quirk, 76 of 465 North Eagle St. Clarksburg, died Saturday January 14, 2012 at North Adams Regional Hospital. She was born in North Adams, on April 15, 1935, daughter of Forist A. McLain Sr. and Edna Violet "Betsy" Sweet McLain. She attended Briggsville Elementary School and graduated from Drury High School in 1954. Jacqueline worked at Strong-Hewat Woolen Mill for 11 years and was last employed at Excelsior Printing Co. for 28 years until her retirement. She was a communicant of St. Francis of Assisi Church. Jacqueline was an Auxiliary Police officer for the city of North Adams. She was proud of her Native American Heritage. She was the widow of John F. Quirk who died March 10, 2005. They were married on December 4, 1971. Survivors include one brother- Allan E. McLain, and his wife, Blanche of Clarksburg, One step-daughter- Patricia Lembo of North Carolina, Four step grandchildren- David, Lynne, Justin, and Joshua. She also leaves a sister in law- Alice McLain of North Adams, nieces, and nephews, and her beloved dog, "Webster". Her brother, Forist McLain is deceased. FUNERAL NOTICE: Services for Jacqueline Quirk are private. There are no calling hours.
