James L. Beuth
1954 - 2014 PITTSFIELD James L. Beuth, 59, of 45 Hamlin St., died Wednesday, June 25, 2014, at the Berkshire Medical Center after a yearlong courageous battle with cancer. Born in Pittsfield on Nov. 28, 1954, he was the son of the late Charles F. and Madeline L. Barile Beuth. Jim was a lifelong resident of Pittsfield and a 1973 graduate of Taconic High School where he studied carpentry. He was employed as a laborer in the General Electric, retiring in 1995 after 25 years of service. He was a communicant of St. Joseph Church. Jim was an avid Boston Red Sox, Boston Bruins and New England Patriots fan. He leaves two brothers, Charles H. Beuth and Thomas R. Beuth, both of Pittsfield; two sisters, Joan M. Dafarra and Pamela J. Beuth, both of Pittsfield and several nieces and nephews. Jim's family would like to express their sincere thanks to the staff in the BMC ICU unit as well as to the staff in the Stepdown unit, Dr. Chris Abbott and Jeff Crocker, for their wonderful and compassionate care. FUNERAL NOTICE: Mr. James L. Beuth died Wednesday, June 25, 2014. Funeral services will be Monday, June 30, 2014, at 10:15 a.m. from the DWYER FUNERAL HOME with a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. at St. Joseph Church, celebrated by Rev. James K. Joyce, pastor of Sacred Heart Church. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery. Calling hours will be Monday from 8 to 10 a.m. at the DWYER FUNERAL HOME.
