James C. Cornock Jr.

PITTSFIELD James Charles Cornock Jr., 72, of Hudson Falls, N.Y., died April 9, 2014. "Jim" Cornock, son of James C. Cornock Sr. and Mary Grace Cornock, passed away suddenly after suffering a severe heart attack.Like his father, Jim honorably served his country as a member of the United States Air Force. He taught middle school math and science for more than 20 years, following his military service. Jim devoted his later years caring for the elderly as a Home Health Aide. Jim practiced humility and generosity in his everyday acts. He was a leader in rebuilding and upholding the human dignity of those whom he cared for and found joy in volunteering. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends, but never forgotten. He is survived by his mother, Mary Grace; four children, Timothea, Jedediah, Glynnis, and Caleb, as well as two grandchildren, Olivia and Owen. In lieu of flowers and monetary donations, the family encourages all to volunteer for their communities in his memory. "The generous man will be prosperous," Proverbs 11:24.
