James Marino Jr.

1938 - 2015 James Marino Jr, 77, of Fairfax, VA died Friday, August 21st, 2015 at home after a long illness. Born in Pittsfield, MA on February 3, 1938, he was the son of the late James and Domenica (Petruzella) Marino. Mr. Marino was a 1955 graduate of Pittsfield High School. After graduating from high school, Jim enlisted in the U.S. Air Force and was stationed in Okinawa, Japan until his honorable discharge in 1958. He also attended George Mason University, where he received a B.A. in History. For most of his working career, Jim was employed at the U.S. Department of State in Washington, DC. Among his survivors are his wife, Margot Marino of Fairfax, VA, his brother, Daniel J. Marino of Ipswich, MA, his niece, Laurie Luschei of Mission Viejo, CA, his great-nieces, Ashleigh and Savannah Luschei of Berkeley, CA, his great-nephew, Daniel Luschei of Mission Viejo, CA, and three sister-in-laws and a brother-in-law who currently reside in Germany. He was the uncle of the late Lynne Ann Marino who died in 1978. FUNERAL NOTICE: A graveside service for Mr. James Marino will be held on Saturday, August 29th, 2015 at 10a.m. at National Memorial Park in Falls Church, VA. In honoring his family's wishes, please do not send flowers.
