James H. Quillard

1934 - 2013 HINSDALE James H. Quillard, 79, of Hinsdale, passed away Monday, Dec. 30, 2013, at Craneville Place in Dalton. Born in Pittsfield on Nov. 6, 1934, the son of Frank and Lorraine Roberge Quillard, he was a 1952 graduate of Pittsfield High School. Mr. Quillard began working at the family business, Quillard Bros. Garage in Pittsfield with his family while he was still in school. He retired as owner in 2007. Jim enjoyed hunting, fishing and spending time with his family. He served in the National Guard and was a lifetime member of the NRA. He was a communicant of St. Patrick's Chapel in Hinsdale. Mr. Quillard leaves his wife of 57 years, the former Theresa Wojick, whom he married on Feb. 11, 1956, in St. Mark Church. He is also survived by his two daughters, Nancy McLean and her husband, Jud, and Noreen Reilly and her husband, Thomas, all of Pittsfield; a brother, Bruce Quillard and his wife, Anne, of Pittsfield; six grandchildren, Shannon Reilly of Hinsdale, TJ Reilly of Los Angeles, Calif., and Lindsey Reilly of Pittsfield, Jessica Sinclair and her husband, Sean, of Bellingham, Jill Gustavis and her husband, Matt, and Josh McLean, all of Pittsfield; great- granddaughter, Audrey Sinclair; a sister-in-law, Pat Quillard of Oregon, and several nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by a brother, Frank Quillard. FUNERAL NOTICE: Funeral services for Mr. James H. Quillard will be Friday, Jan. 3, 2014, with a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. at St. Patrick's Chapel in Hinsdale, celebrated by the Rev. Christopher Malatesta, pastor. Burial will be private in St. Joseph Cemetery. There will be no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to any of the following charities, St. Agnes Academy, Sister of the Visitation, Association of Marian Helpers or the Berkshire Benevolent Association for the Blind, care of the DWYER FUNERAL HOME, 776 North St., Pittsfield, MA 01201.
