James S. Thayer
1959-2014 PITTSFIELD Mr. James "Chipper" S. Thayer, 54, of 52 Reuter Ave., passed away early Wednesday morning, February 19, 2014, surrounded by his loving family. Born in Middlebury, Vt., on May 28, 1959 the son of Nancy Pietruszkiewicz he moved to Westfield at a young age and attended Westfield Schools. Mr. Thayer worked as a self-employed tile installer, then worked for Local Labor Union 473. He leaves his wife, the former Elizabeth Ludbrook whom he married on June 11, 1988. He is also survived by his children, Tammy Brown-Armstrong and her husband Greg of Pittsfield and Shaun Brown and his partner, Alberto Arcila of Dallas; his siblings, John Thayer and his wife Joanne of Franklin, Mass., Donna Touhey and her husband William of Lee, Mass., Brenda Thayer of Hyannis, Mass., and Joseph Pietruszkiewicz and his wife Karen of Marlborough, Conn.; a granddaughter, the love of his life, Kyla Brown-Armstrong of Pittsfield. He also leaves his uncle, Glenn and aunt, Maureen Oski; nieces and nephews, Janna and Sean Egnitz, Jaycey and Joey Molle, Sam Touhey, Matthew and Christina Pietruszkiewicz; great nieces, Madison and Charlotte Molle and Anabelle Egnitz and several cousins. He was predeceased by his mother and grandparents, James and Glenicz Oski. He was a friend of Bill W. FUNERAL NOTICE: A memorial service for Mr. James "Chipper" Thayer will be Tuesday, February 25, 2014 at 12 noon at the Dwyer Funeral Home, 776 North St., Pittsfield MA. Burial will be private and at a later date. Calling hours at the funeral home will precede the service from 10 a.m. to 12 noon. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the
