Jean S. Barriere SCOTIA, NY Jean S. Barriere was born in Hunter, N.Y. and raised in Dalton on the Crane Estate. Jean was 93 when she passed on January 31, 2012. She was a good wife to the late Ernest Ray Barriere, a wonderful mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. A beloved daughter to the late Byrd and Leelah Smith of Dalton. She was predeceased by her husband, Ray, her son, Randy, and her sister, Frances. Jean is survived by her loving children: Lee (Art) Rozek, Melissa (Alan) Lamb and Denise (Kevin) Rudolph, all of Scotia, N.Y., Greg (Velinda) Barriere of Melrose, Mass. and Wendy Carron (Michael Buffi) of Lanesboro. She also leaves behind several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Jean was a homemaker and mother who had great love of animals. FUNERAL NOTICE: A memorial service for Mrs. Jean S. Barriere will be held on Saturday, February 4, 2012 at 11:30 a.m. at BARTLETT WELLINGTON FUNERAL HOME, 525 Main St., Dalton, MA 01226, with the Rev. Joni Carron officiating. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to L.O.V.E. (Legacy Of Vision Education) PO Box 1614, Lanesboro, MA 01237.
