Jean C. Hynes

1923 - 2014 PITTSFIELD Jean Cecille Fox Hynes, 91, of 85 Vinal Ave., died on Friday, June 27, at Mount Carmel Care Center in Lenox. Jean was born on Jan. 1, 1923, daughter of Charles and Ethel Jenks Fox. She was a graduate of Dalton High School and St. Luke's School of Nursing. She worked for many years as a registered nurse at St. Luke's Hospital and at Berkshire Place. Jean was predeceased by her husband of 53 years, Jim, who died on Sept. 25, 2001. She was also predeceased by brothers, Jerry and Bob Fox. She leaves a son, Gary Hynes (Val); daughter, Judy Goetze (Joe), a grandson, Kevin, (Jessyca), and a great-granddaughter, Emma Jean Jean was a wonderful mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend. Her smile and sense of humor will be remembered by all who knew her. Donations in Jean's memory may be made to the St. Luke's Alumni Association Nursing Scholarship Fund in care of ROCHE FUNERAL HOME in Lenox. The family would like to thank the superior staffs at Epoch at Melbourne and Mount Carmel Care for their outstanding care of Jean during her long journey with Alzheimer's disease. There were no calling hours and burial was in St. Ann's Cemetery.
