Jean Marie Steele-Wren Obituary
Jean Marie Steele-Wren

1966 - 2013 PITTSFIELD Jean Marie Steele-Wren, 46, of Lebanon Avenue, Pittsfield, passed away peacefully on January 5, 2013 at her home due to a several years' battle with cancer.

She was born in North Adams on February 10, 1966, but grew up in Lanesboro. She is the daughter of the late William and Elizabeth Garrity Steele. Jean graduated from Mount Greylock Regional High School and was married to James Wren of Pittsfield, on May 21, 1994. Her most important milestone was the birth of her daughter Stephanie Wren, of Pittsfield, in 1989.

For many years, Jean worked at the former Bradlee's Department store. She then pursued a career as an insurance broker where she earned the highest number of credentials attainable and had many loyal customers who spoke highly of her. Jean enjoyed fitness, traveling, was an avid Patriots and Bruins fan and was always the life of the party. She loved all of her pets and treated them like members of the family. She was a devoted and loving wife, friend, and a truly exceptional mother most of all. She made many sacrifices for her husband and daughter to make sure they were happy. Her sense of humor will be remembered by all of the lives she touched as well as her kind heart in helping anyone in need.

Jean is survived by her husband James, her only daughter Stephanie, her only brother William Steele, Jr., of Louisville, KY, her grand-dog Brady, numerous aunts and uncles, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and loyal friends.
