Jeanne F. Barry
1940 - 2014 PITTSFIELD Jeanne F. Barry, 73, died Thursday, Jan. 16, 2014, at the Berkshire Medical Center. Born in 1940 in Concord, she was the daughter of the late William H. and Almindine G. (LaPrise) Dohoney. She was a 1958 graduate of Concord High School. Jeanne was employed at Berkshire Bank & Trust for 20 years; she then moved on to Lee Bank where she retired in 2008, after 18 years of service. While working at Lee Bank, Jeanne was considered the "Mayor." When you walked into the lobby, Jeanne was there to greet you and when you contacted the bank, it was Jeanne's friendly voice you heard on the other line. In the years since she retired, she was a dedicated volunteer at the St. Mark School Library in Pittsfield. The children brought her such joy! Jeanne loved to talk on the phone and keep in touch with all of her family and friends. Jeanne had an extensive circle of friends and had intimate connections with people from all walks of life. She was an optimist and always looked for the good in people; once you were Jeanne's friend you could do nothing wrong in her eyes. She adored spending time with her family, especially her granddaughters, who meant the world to her. She and her late husband, Clayton, were married on June 20, 1964, and were married for 35 wonderful years until his passing on Jan. 16, 2000. Jeanne is survived by her son, Christopher, and his wife, Christine, of Lee; two granddaughters, Quinn and Paige Barry also of Lee, and a sister, Kathryn J.
