Jeanne Vuillemot

1936 - 2014 PITTSFIELD Mrs. Jeanne M. Vuillemot, 77, died Thursday morning at Berkshire Medical Center. She was born in Pittsfield on Nov. 28, 1936, the daughter of the late Raymond and Helen Donahue. She was educated in the local schools and was a 1954 graduate of Pittsfield High School. In her early years, she was employed at Stevenson's Insurance Company. She was a communicant of St. Mary's the Morning Star Church until its closing, and later St. Charles Church. She was a dedicated Girl Scout Leader and a member of the Crane School PTO. Mrs. Vuillemot was an avid gardener and NASCAR enthusiast but her greatest joy was raising and caring for her family and her home. A doting grandmother, she especially loved her grandchildren. She is survived by her husband, Richard, whom she married May 20, 1961; a son, Mark Vuillemot and his wife, Cathy, of Pittsfield; three daughters, Donna Herzog of Pittsfield, Barbara Vivori and her husband, David, of North Adams, and Gayle Bennett and her husband, Josh, of Rowlett, Texas; two sisters, Nancy Howes and her husband, George, of Pittsfield, and Ann Sedgwick and her husband, Merwin, of Dalton. She will be especially missed by her grandchildren, Brittany Herzog of Arlington Heights, Mass., Martin Vuillemot of Pittsfield, Kayla Vivori and Nicholas Vivori, both of North Adams, and Noah Bennett of Rowlett, Texas. She was predeceased by her son, David Vuillemot. FUNERAL NOTICE: Jeanne M. Vuillemot, 77, died Thursday, March 6th. A Liturgy of Christian Burial will be celebrated Wednesday morning, March 12, beginning at 10 a.m. at St. Charles Church with the Rev. Michael C. Lillpopp, Parochial Vicar, officiating. Calling hours will be held prior to the service, beginning at 8 a.m. at DEVANNY-CONDRON FUNERAL HOME, 40 Maplewood Ave., Pittsfield. Burial will follow in St. Joseph's Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, if friends desire, memorial donations may be made to HospiceCare in the Berkshires, in care of the funeral home.
