Joanne Hatch Aguillon
1958 - 2015 STURBRIDGE, MA Joanne Hatch Aguillon, age 56, died Sunday, May 3, 2015 in Harrington Memorial Hospital, Southbridge, MA after a 15 month battle with pancreatic cancer. She was born in San Diego, CA, July 6, 1958. She graduated from Chatham High School Class of 1976, was a 1981 graduate of McGill University, Montreal, Canada where she was a member of Kappa Kappa Gamma Sorority. She received a Masters Degree in Social Work in 1984 from SUNY Albany. She was a medical social worker at Berkshire Medical Center, Pittsfield, MA from 1984 to 1996 and earned an aesthetics license in 2002. She leaves her parents, Douglas & Doris (Peggy Witthoft) Hatych of Au Sable Forks, NY, her twin sister, Joyce Hatch Handy of Richmond, VA, her brother, Charles Hatch of Hallendale Beach, FL & her beloved Yorkshire Terriers, Kahlua & Posh. MEMORIAL SERVICE: A memorial service will be held at the Emmanuel Lutheran Church, Chatham, NY on Saturday, July 25, 2015 at 2 p.m. In lieu of flowers, please send a donation to McGill University Bequests & planned gifts Dept., 1430 Peel St., Montreal, Quebec, Canada H 3A 3T3, Montreal, Quebec, Canada in Joanne Aguillion's memory. I grew up with Joanne in East Chatham. So sorry to hear of her passing . My thoughts are with her family . May they all find peace in knowing she was always a kind and beautiful person.

I worked with Joanne at Berkshire Medical Center. She was an exemplary social worker and patient advocate. In retrospect I think she was most gifted working with groups and the positive energy she exuded she said she got back twofold. I am very sad to hear of her battle with cancer and her untimely death.

I haven't seem Joanne in a long time. Her kindness toward those struggling with difficult issues was inspiring. So sorry to hear of her death.
