John Millard Sullivan 1945-2011 NORTH ADAMS John Millard Sullivan, 66, recently relocated to 1029 State Road, North Adams, lost his long courageous battle with cancer, Thursday December 15, 2011 at Berkshire Medical Center in Pittsfield. He was born in Great Barrington, on June 30, 1945 a son of the late Joseph and Alice (VanVaulkenburg) Sullivan. John graduated from Staatsburg Union Free High School in New York. He was employed for many years for the State of New York as a narcotic officer and later as a correction officer. He was last employed at the Trans-Eastern Home Construction Co, Palm Beach County, Fla. He was a communicant of St. Patrick & Raphael Parish in Williamstown, Ma. He loved spending time with his family. Survivors include his loving wife of 43 years Kathleen (Watts) Sullivan whom he married August 10, 1968. Three loving children Deborah Ann (Sullivan) Guiden and her Husband James of Williamstown, John Millard Sullivan Jr. and his wife Christina of Orlando, Fla., and Kimberly Ann (Sullivan) Perry and her husband Bryan of North Adams. Four grandchildren, whom he loved dearly: James A. Guiden II, Andrew, Elaina Mae and Liam Carr Sullivan. Two sisters Sr. Patricia Sullivan O.P of Beacon, N.Y. and Judith Devine and her husband James of Poughkeepsie, N.Y. Three Brothers: James Sullivan and his wife Merle of Staatsburg, N.Y. His Twin Brother Joseph Sullivan of Livingston, N.Y. and Dennis Sullivan and his wife Rita of Tivoli, N.Y., and several nieces and nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews. John was a loving, caring and devoted husband, father and grandfather (PaPa) for which he was ever so grateful to have a family to love and cherish- then, now & always forever. FUNERAL NOTICE: A Liturgy of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday at 11 a.m. at St.'s Patrick and Raphael Parish in Williamstown, Ma. Burial will follow in Southlawn Cemetery, Williamstown, Ma. Calling Hours at the Flynn & Dagnoli-Montagna Home for Funerals, WEST CHAPELS, 521 West Main St. North Adams, Ma. are Sunday from 2 to 5 p.m. In Lieu of Flowers memorial donations are suggested for the H. Lee Moffitt Cancer Research Center in Tampa, Fla. through the funeral home.
