Joseph P. Menatti

1937-2016 LEE Joseph P. Menatti, 78, of Marble Street in Lee, died Saturday, June 4th at the Berkshire Medical Center in Pittsfield. He was born in Lee on December 30, 1937 the son of Peter and Madeline Coiatelli Menatti and was educated in the Lee Schools. Mr. Menatti had worked at the Lee Lime Corporation after his schooling and then for Petricca Construction as a cement mixer driver, he then returned to Lee Lime where he was a Kiln Tender, retiring in 2000. He enjoyed polka dancing, hunting, gardening, farming and being with his family. Joe leaves his wife, the former Patricia A. Gavin, whom he married June 24, 1967; his sons: Michael J. Menatti and his wife Wendy of Lee, Dean M. Caccamo and his wife Donna of Cary NC; his two daughters: Debra C. Lang and her husband Kevin of Cary, NC, and Dawn M. Perrin and her husband Raymond of Napa, CA. In addition, he leaves one brother Victor Menatti of Pittsfield and his three sisters: Marie L'Heureux of Salisbury, MA, his twin sister Josephine Moguin and her husband Norman of Springfield, and Ann O'Brien of Lee; his 11 grandchildren: Kyle and his wife Kaitlyn, Ian, Sean, and McKenzie Lang, Keegan, Chelsea, Meghan, and Darby Perrin, Edward, Sofia, and Bella Caccamo, and one great grandchild, Kaden Joseph Lang. He was predeceased by his brother Ernest and his sister Victoria Roddy. The Funeral for Joseph Menatti will be held on Wednesday June 8th at 8:15 from the Kelly Funeral Home with a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 9AM at St. Mary's Church. Burial will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery. Visiting hours at the Funeral Home will be Tuesday from 4-7PM. Friends wishing may make donations to St. Mary's Church in care of the Kelly Funeral Home at 3 Main St. Lee, MA 01238.
