1922 - 2016 Mrs. Josephine Katherine (Schultz) Kleiner, 93, of 105 Friend St. Adams, died Thursday evening, August 4, 2016, at Craneville Place in Dalton. She was born in Adams on October 21, 1922, daughter of the late Freidrich and Katherine (Gorzelany) Schultz. She attended Adams schools, and graduated from the former Adams High School with the Class of 1941. Mrs. Kleiner worked as a purchasing clerk at the former Sprague Electric Co. in North Adams, until retiring in 1985 after 31 years of service. She was a communicant of St. Stanislaus Kostka Church, Adams, and a member of its Rosary Sodality. She was also a member of the Sprague Electric Gold Card Club. She and her late husband, Alfred H. Kleiner, were married on April 11, 1942. They enjoyed traveling with her late brother, Fred Schultz, and his wife, Dolores, to many places around the world. Some of their favorite vacation spots were Hawaii, Mazatlan, Mexico; Alaska, New Zealand and Europe. They also took several cruises, including a cruise through the Panama Canal. They were married 65 1/2 years when Mr. Kleiner died She is survived by her son, Alfred "Chucky" Kleiner, Jr. and his wife, Coralee, of Manchester, NH; her daughter, Patricia Ann Lennon and her husband, David, of Cheshire, MA; four grandchildren, David Lennon, Jr. and his wife, Heidi, of Adams; Debra Lennon Mueller and her husband Jeff of Round Rock, TX; Kathryn Kleiner Dickerson and her husband, Donald, of Eden Prairie, MN; and Timothy Alfred Kleiner and his wife, Michelle, of Auburn, NH; twelve great grandchildren, Shannon Lennon, Erin Lennon, David Alfred Lennon, Keira Lennon, Patrick Johnson, Mackenzie Abbatiello, Shaelin Abbatiello, Colin Abbatiello, Briana Dickerson, Madilyn Dickerson, Olivia Kleiner and Shawn Kleiner; a granddaughter-in-law, Bonnie Lennon of Adams; her sister- in-law, Dolores Schultz of Los Angeles, CA; as well as many nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews. She was predeceased by a grandson, Daniel Lennon, her brother, Fred Schultz, and her sister, Helen Federchuck. The family would like to thank the staff at Craneville Place of Dalton and HospiceCare in the Berkshires for their wonderful care of their mother. FUNERAL NOTICE: The funeral will be held on Friday, August 12th, at 9:00 AM from the PACIOREK FUNERAL HOME, 13 Hoosac St. Adams, followed by a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM in St. Stanislaus Kostka Church, Adams, celebrated by Rev. Steven Montesanti. Burial will follow in St. Stanislaus Kostka Cemetery. Calling hours are Thursday from 4 to 7 PM in the funeral home. Members of the St. Stanislaus Rosary Sodality will meet at the funeral home on Thursday at 3:45 PM to pay their respects and recite the Rosary.
