Kathryn L. Turner

PITTSFIELD Kathryn L. Turner, 86, died Saturday morning at Melbourne Place in Pittsfield where she had resided for the last five years.She was educated in the Pittsfield Schools and was a 1944 graduate of Pittsfield High School. During World War II, she worked for Boston Auto Gage in Pittsfield and later at England Brothers. She moved to Hancock in the 1960s working at the Jerico Valley Motor Lodge, Jiminy Peak and doing volunteer work at the Hancock Elementary School.

Her husband, Winthrop Turner, whom she married in 1985, died November 15, 1996. Her first husband Edward Reed whom she married 1944 died in 1984

She is survived by two stepsons, James W. Turner of Lee and David J. Turner of Hancock; two stepdaughters, Lynne M. Miller of Lee and Katie M. Zazzaro of Westfield; nine step-grandchildren and four great-step-grandchildren.

FUNERAL NOTICE: Funeral services will be held Saturday at 9:15 AM from the KELLY FUNERAL HOME in Lee, with a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 10 AM at St. Mary's Church in Lee. Burial will be in the Spring at the Hancock Cemetery in Hancock, MA. Visiting hours will be Friday evening from 4 until 7 PM at the funeral home.
