Keenan S. Pellot, Jr.

1997 - 2015 PITTSFIELD Keenan S. Pellot, Jr., age 18, a victim of a shooting, died Friday, July 31, 2015 at Berkshire Medical Center. He was born in Pittsfield, May 15, 1997, the son of Keenan S. Pellot, Sr. and Carey Pilot. He was educated in the elementary schools here and in Northampton prior to his returning to live in Pittsfield. Initially attending Pittsfield High School, he was scheduled to attend St. Joseph's High School in the fall. He was currently employed initially as a dishwasher and was recently elevated to a food prep cook at the Hotel on North. It has been said that he first held a basketball at age 2 and never put it down and he taught himself how to ride a bike at age 5. Known to all as a happy, friendly and outgoing young man, his smile could light up a room instantly. In addition to his parents, both of Pittsfield, he is survived by his brothers, Naseem Pellot, Markell Pellot and Andrew Hall, his sisters, Kamara Pellot, Tamara Pellot, Kiasia Pilot, Kanaya Pellot, Keiva Pellot and Kaliah Ellerbee, his uncles, Justin and Kevin Gadson, Duke Gadson, Kendell Thompson, Marcus Jones, his aunts, Tammy and Warren Davis, his grandmothers, Joanne Moody and Cathy Pilot, great-grandmother, Pearl Brown, his girlfriend, Lauren Carnevale, his godson, Jayden Hall and a niece, Jaylei, along with Jeanie, Cameron and Camia Kazimierezak, and Isaac and Jynae Pizzaro. He is also survived by his cousins, Josh Moody and Feleicia Moody. He was predeceased by his uncles, Tyrone Gadson and Kevin Thompson. FUNERAL NOTICE: Pellot, Keenan S., Jr., age 18, died July 31, 2015. Calling hours at the Second Congregational Church will be WEDNESDAY morning from 10 to 12 Noon. Funeral services will immediately follow with Evangelist Theresa Smith, officiating. Burial will follow in the Pittsfield Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to an established account for Keenan Pellot at Greylock Federal Credit Union in order to assist the family with final expenses.
