Kellie G. Oppenheimer

1970 - 2015 ENFIELD, CT Kellie G. Oppenheimer, 44, wife of the late Bruce Oppenheimer, passed away peacefully on Monday, October 5, 2015 at St. Francis Hospital, Hartford, CT. She was born on November 20, 1970, in North Adams, MA. Kellie graduated from Drury High School in North Adams, class of '88, and graduated from The Elms College in Chicopee. After finishing college, she moved to Maine and later moved to Enfield to be closer to her family. After moving to Enfield, she was the owner and operator of Joanie's Ice Cream for four years. Shortly after, she began working in the Enfield Public Schools. Kellie was currently employed with State Farm Insurance in Enfield. Kellie was also a consultant for Tastefully Simple. She was a member of Holy Family Church and an active soccer mom supporting the Enfield Crushers. Kellie loved her daughters and enjoyed spending time with her family. She is survived by her two loving daughters, Karli and Sophia Oppenheimer of Enfield and two step-daughters, Lyndsey and Briana Oppenheimer of Easthampton, MA; her father, Bernard J. Gomeau Sr. and Katherine Saltamartini of North Adams, MA; a brother, BJ Gomeau and his wife, Chris of Enfield; a sister-in-law, Kelli Paradise Gomeau of Warwick, RI; four nephews, Brandon Gomeau, Keegan, Killian, and Nicholas Gomeau, a niece, Henley Gomeau, all who referred to Kellie as "Umpto". She also leaves many extended Oppenheimer family. In addition to her husband Bruce, she was predeceased by her mother, Joan (Matney) Gomeau, and a brother, Edward M. Gomeau. FUNERAL NOTICE: A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, October 10, 2015 at 10a.m. at Holy Family Church, 23 Simon Road, Enfield, CT (Please Meet At Church). Committal will follow at Hazardville Cemetery. Relatives and friends may join the family for visitation on Friday, October 9, 2015 from 3 to 7p.m. at Leete-Stevens Enfield Chapels, 61 South Road, Enfield, CT.
