1962 - 2015 GT.BARRINGTON/PITTSFIELD Kelly Lee Mercer, 53, formerly of Great Barrington, MA passed away on Wednesday, June 17, 2015 at her home on Third St., in Pittsfield. She was born on February 14, 1962 in Great Barrington, MA, the daughter of the late Harold Mercer and Rose Grahn Rider. She was a graduate of Monument Mountain Regional High School in Great Barrington. Ms. Mercer worked in the kitchen at Fairview Hospital in Great Barrington for many years. Kelly loved going to the movies and dining out with family and friends. She had a special place in her heart for children and animals. She touched the hearts of all those who knew her and will be greatly missed. She is survived by her sisters, Linda Lis of Great Barrington, and Holly Polchlopek and her husband, Dave of Oviedo, FL, her brother, Allan Mercer and his fiance, Leona Brazie of Sheffield, MA, her sister-in-law, Pam Mercer, and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents, Harold Mercer and Rose Grahn Rider, her brother, John C. Mercer, maternal grandparents, Anne Bernoi Grahn and Charles A. Grahn, paternal grandparents, Stanley Mercer and Evaleen Dean Mercer. FUNERAL NOTICE: A service celebrating Kelly's life will be held on Tuesday, June 23, 2015 at 10 a.m. at FINNERTY & STEVENS FUNERAL HOME in Great Barrington, conducted by the Rev. Charles VanAusdall. Burial will follow at St. Joseph's Cemetery in Stockbridge. The family will receive friends on Monday, June 22, 2015 from 5 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home in Great Barrington.
