Linda A. Yon-Kudlate

1958 - 2013 PITTSFIELD Linda A. Yon-Kudlate, 54, of Dalton Division Road, passed away peacefully on Monday, surrounded by her loving children.

Born in Pittsfield, July 18, 1958, daughter of Raymond O. and Patricia A. Clark MacWhinnie, she attended the former Mercer School and North Junior High School and graduated Pittsfield High School in 1976.

Linda was employed for the past 15 years at Verizon Inc. as a directory assistance operator. Previously, she had worked at the former Hillcrest Hospital as a switchboard operator. She was also employed at Berkshire Medical Center for many years as a unit Ssecretary.

Linda's greatest love was her family. She enjoyed spending time with her children and her beloved grandchildren, bowling in the Four Seasons League at Candle Lanes, and traveling. She was an active member of St. Stephen's Episcopal Church.

Besides her parents of Pittsfield, she leaves her daughters, Erin M. Lourie and her husband John of Clifton Park, N.Y., and Ashlee M. MacDonald and her husband, Brian of Pittsfield; her son, Ryan G. Yon and his fiancee Megan Stack of Pittsfield; her brothers, Raymond MacWhinnie and his wife, Janet, of E. Smithfield, Pa., and Thomas MacWhinnie of Enfield, Conn.; her sisters, Deborah Sorensen and her husband, Carl, and Karen Roberts, all of Pittsfield; her seven grandchildren, Ethan, Isabella, and Lillian MacDonald, Hannah, Maria, and Owen Lourie, and Leah Verchot, and many nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her brother, Kenneth MacWhinnie, in 1973.

FUNERAL NOTICE: Linda A. Yon-Kudlate, 54, passed away on April 22, 2013. The funeral service will be Friday at 10 a.m. at St. Stephen's Church with the Rev. Jennifer Gregg, associate pastor, officiating. Burial will be at a later date.

Calling hours will be Thursday from 4 until 7 p.m. at the DWYER FUNERAL HOME.
