Lisa Phillips Obituary
Lisa Marie Phillips

1979 - 2016 Lisa Marie Phillips, of Pleasure Ave. in Pittsfield, passed away unexpectedly at her home. She was 36 years old. Born in Pittsfield on September 29, 1979, Lisa was educated primarily in Pittsfield schools and was a 1997 graduate of Pittsfield High School. An unfailingly outgoing, engaging person, she enjoyed working with young people and was employed for several years at Valleyhead school in Lenox, where she worked tirelessly with troubled adolescent girls. More recently, she worked as a substitute teacher's aide in Pittsfield Public Schools. She was a member of Christian Assembly Church and her faith was very precious to her. Lisa was a beautiful, loving, generous person who would do anything for anyone. Family and friends meant everything to her and there are no words to express the profound devastation felt at her passing. She is survived by her daughter, Emma Jean Goetze Phillips, her "miracle" and love of her life; her mother Debra Phillips and step-father Bruce Frechette of Pittsfield, her brother and best friend, Jason Phillips, "sister-in-law" Megan Mackey, and adoring niece and nephew, Jaci and Logan Phillips; maternal grandmother Betty Baker Phillips; uncle Ronald Phillips, Jr.; cousins Eric, Jesse, Heather, Desiree, Kirk, Mitchell, and their families, as well as further extended family and countless friends. Lisa was preceded in death by her beloved grandfather, Ronald Phillips, Sr., and uncles Eric Phillips and Kirk Phillips. FUNERAL NOTICE: A graveside service for Lisa M. Phillips who died May 17, 2016 will be held Friday at 2:00 PM at Pittsfield Cemetery conducted by Pastor David McIntosh of Christian Assembly Church in Pittsfield.
