Lorraine G. Kuhner

1926 - 2014 ADAMS Lorraine G. Giddings Kuhner, 87, of 18 Apremont St., died Monday morning, March 24, 2014, at Sweet Brook Care Center in Williamstown. She was born in Springfield, Vt. on Dec. 23, 1926, daughter of the late John and Beatrice Hurd Giddings. She attended schools in Vermont. Mrs. Kuhner was self-employed as a seamstress for most of her life and was a member of the Stamford Community Church. She is survived by two sons, Christopher Kuhner and his wife, Marjorie, of Hampton, N.H., and Arnold Kuhner and his wife, Nadine, of Adams; a daughter, Eddine Fitzpatrick of Cheshire; her son-in-law, Gene Schmehl of Williamstown; seven grandchildren, Arnie Kuhner, Llon Kuhner, Alea Kuhner, Kristen Lafleur, Crystal Fitzpatrick, Natalia Kuhner, and Erik Schmehl; seven great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her son, Roger Kuhner; daughter, Nancy Schmehl; her twin brother, Lawrence Giddings, and her sisters, Velma Giddings and Barbara Jordan. FUNERAL NOTICE: Funeral services will be held on Saturday, March 29, at 12 p.m. in the PACIOREK FUNERAL HOME, 13 Hoosac St. Adams. The Rev. James LaMothe, Pastor of the Stamford Community Church, will officiate. Burial will follow in Bellevue Cemetery, Adams. Calling hours are Saturday morning from 11 a.m. until the service, at the funeral home. Memorial donations may be made to Shriners Hospital for Children, 516 Carew St., Springfield, MA 01104.
