Lorraine M. Rock

1938-2013 LEE Lorraine M. Rock, 74, of 45 Fuller St., died Friday, July 19 at Berkshire Medical Center in Pittsfield.

She was born in Adams on November 3, 1938 the daughter of Roger and Mary Fortune Winslow and was a 1957 graduate of Adams High School.

She worked for Sprague Electric in North Adams from 1957 until moving to Lee in 1959.

Lorraine was a communicant of St. Mary's Church in Lee, former member of St. Stanislaus Church in Adams, the Becket Grange and its Ladies Auxiliary and Lakewood Sportsmen's Club of Pittsfield.

She leaves her husband, Joseph A. Rock, whom she married November 15, 1958; her son, David A. Rock, of Lanesboro and his former wife, Sheila Rock, of Pittsfield; her daughters Karen M. Rock and her daughter-in-law Rhonda Jarvis of North Adams and Denise A. Stanard and her husband, Richard W. Stanard Jr., of Charlton, Mass.; her brother Donald Winslow of Whispering Pines, N.C,; four grandchildren, Devin A. and Eric A. Rock, Loren E. and Ryan T. Stanard.

She was pre-deceased by her son, Jeffrey J. Rock, in 2005.

She was a lover of animals including her dogs --Skippy, Penny, Chenzo, Juicy, Sama and her several cats.

FUNERAL NOTICE: The funeral for Lorraine will be held Tuesday morning at 9:15 from the KELLY FUNERAL HOME with a Liturgy of Christian Burial 10 at St. Mary's Church with the Rev. Peter Gregory, pastor of St Charles Church in Pittsfield, officiating. Burial will follow in Fairmount Cemetery in Lee. Visiting hours at the funeral home will be Monday from 4 to 7 p.m.
