1923 - 2014 NORTH ADAMS Loyola M. (Aunty Ly) Fitzpatrick, 91, formerly of North Adams, died Saturday Sept. 6, at the Mt. Greylock Extended Care Facility in Pittsfield surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Elmira N.Y. on May 31, 1923, a daughter of the late Michael Henry Fitzpatrick and Mary Agnes (Keating) Fitzpatrick. She attended schools in North Adams and graduated from St. Joseph High School with the class of 1942. Loyola was employed for many years as an account manager and later as the executive secretary to the late Fred Windover Sr. at Sprague Electric Co. in North Adams. She was a longtime communicant of St. Francis of Assisi Church in North Adams. Aunty Ly enjoyed walking and swimming and was truly devoted to her faith. Her greatest joy was spending time and caring for her family. Her warm gentle spirit was felt by everyone who knew and loved her. She will be lovenly missed by her niece and her husband, Cynthia and Norman Scott, of Pittsfield; their two sons, Robert Scott and his wife, Sheila, and their son, Cade, and Timothy Scott and his daughter, Avery, whom Ly adored and filled her life with so much joy. She is also survived by her sister, Arlene Radidoux, and a brother-in-law, Ernest LaGess; and several nieces, nephews. She was predeceased by a sister, Mary Clara LaGess; and two brothers, George and Michael Fitzpatrick. Our family would like to express our love and thanks to the devoted staff at Mt. Greylock Extended Care Facility who loved her like she was their own. FUNERAL NOTICE: Funeral services will take place Wednesday at 11 a.m. at the FLYNN DAGNOLI-MONTAGNA HOME FOR FUNERALS, WEST CHAPELS, 521 West Main St., North Adams. Burial will follow in the family plot in Southview Cemetery, North Adams. Calling Hours are the funeral home are Wednesday from 10 - 11:00 a.m. Memorial donations are suggested for the St. Jude Children's Hospital through the funeral home.
