1924 - 2015 ADAMS Mrs. Lucille M. Lucille, who was also known as Lou, was born in Adams on January 25, 1924, beloved daughter of the late Ralph and Margaret (Major) Dubuc. She attended Adams schools, including the former Notre Dame Elementary School. On May 4, 1957, she and the late John H. Kenney of Adams were married. As a young woman, Lucille was a well-known presence on Park Street, working at the now closed Adams Movie Theatre and the Adams Newsstand. In 1960, her brother, opened Leon's Jewelers on McKinley Square where she worked until it closed in 1978. In addition to being a sales clerk, she was responsible for creating the beautiful, seasonal window displays that graced the entrance to the jewelry store. Lucille was a communicant of the Parish of St. John Paul II at Notre Dame Church, Adams, and was a member of its Ladies of St. Anne Society. She loved the home she shared with her late husband, spending time with her family and friends, and hosting parties and celebrations. She was always a great animal lover, especially her dogs, cat, and several parakeets. Her brothers Leon and Ralph, Jr., as well as a grandnephew, Scott Kreger, and a grandniece, Hannah Serbun, predeceased her. Several nieces, nephews, grand-nieces and grand-nephews survive her.
