Mae Ferrari

1933 2012 PITTSFIELD Mae V. Ferrari, 79, died Tuesday at Berkshire Medical Center, surrounded by her family.

Mae was born in Pittsfield on May 8, 1933 to the late Henry and Louise (Durgin) LaFrance. She attended area schools and graduated from St. Joseph High School. She worked at GE for many years and after her retirement she worked part time at the Big Y in Pittsfield.

She was married in 1953 to Antonio Ferrari and spent 50 years together before his death in 2004. Mae volunteered at Girls Inc. for over 20 years. She enjoyed Bingo and spending time with her grandchildren.

Mae leaves behind her two loving sons Peter J. Ferrari of Pittsfield and Anthony D. Ferrari and his wife Deborah of Summersville, SC. She will also be missed by her cherished grandchildren Jennifer, Jeremy, Jessica, Krystal, Elexus, Katrina and Nikitia. She will also be missed by her 12 great grandchildren.

Another son, Joseph J. Ferrari, died May 21, 1959.

She will also be missed by her former friends Snowball (cat) and Buster (dog).

The family of Mae would like to thank the staff of Springside of Pittsfield for the care they provided Mae over the years.

FUNERAL NOTICE: A Funeral Home service will be celebrated by Msgr. Michael Shershanovich on Monday, September 10, 2012 at 9:30 a.m. at the DEVANNY-CONDRON FUNERAL HOME, 40 Maplewood Av. Calling hours will be held on Sunday, September 9 from 5 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home. A second visitation will be held on Monday morning 1 hour prior to the service, starting at 8:30. Memorial donations may be made in Mae's memory to the , or the Eleanor Sonsini Animal Shelter all in care of the Funeral Home.
