Margaret "Marge" Barry

1923 - 2015 NORTH ADAMS Margaret "Marge" (Bailey) Barry 91 of 1361 Massachusetts Ave., died Saturday March 14, 2015 at Williamstown Commons. She was born in Williamsport, PA on April 4, 1923 a daughter of the late Harry and Anna (Shriner) Sobers and graduated from Williamsport High School with the class of 1941. Marge worked for the U.S. Navy during WWII at the Navy Air Force Base in Norfolk, VA until her marriage to William J. Barry on June 27, 1945. Bill died February 21, 1990. She was employed at the Jarisch Box Co. and Sprague Electric and was last employed at Waverly Fabric Mills in Adams until her retirement in 1984. She was an active member of the Blackinton Union Church in North Adams for over 50 years, where she was a member of the Bible Study group and the Ladies Guild. Survivors include two sisters; Betty Eggers of Missouri and Mary Ann Sierra of California. Several nieces, nephews, grand-nieces and grand-nephews. She was predeceased by two bothers; Harry Bailey and Harold Rook. FUNERAL NOTICE: Funeral Services will take place at the Blackinton Union Church on Massachusetts Ave., North Adams, MA on Tuesday at 9 a.m. There are No Calling Hours. Burial will take place at a later date in Southview Cemetery.
