Margaret I. Countryman 1924-2012 Margaret I. Countryman, age 87, formerly of Pittsfield, passed away Monday, March 19, 2012 in Ashtabula, Ohio. Mrs. Countryman was born June 26, 1924, in Pittsfield, the daughter of Francis and Laura L. Thoubboron and had been an Ashtabula resident since 1965. Throughout the years, Mrs. Countryman volunteered at the Salvation Army soup kitchen, was a member of the Singles Club and was an active member of Trinity Presbyterian Church. She enjoyed reading, gardening, dancing, her dogs and cats, and spending time with her family. Her survivors include three sons, Neil of Courtland, Timothy and Charles Countryman of Rock Creek: daughter, Denise Wallace of Ashtabula; five grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; brother, Frank Thoubboron; sister, Dorothy Daoust both of Pittsfield and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Raymond Countryman; grandson, Michael Wallace; and sister Laura M. Thouboron. A service was held at Greenland Memory Gardens Mausoleum Chapel, North Kingsville, Ohio with the reverend April Osborne, Chaplin of Tridia Hospice officiating.
