Margaret Farley

1914 - 2014 NORTH ADAMS Margaret Marie (Roach) Farley, 100, died Thursday Dec. 4, at the Loomis House-Nursing Care Facility in Holyoke. She was born in North Adams on July 12, 1914, a daughter of the late Joseph & Clarencia (Fredette) Roach. She attended schools in North Adams and graduated from Drury High School in 1933. She then attended Mount Ida College in Newton, Mass. She was employed as a social editor for the North Adams Transcript and later worked in the Athletic Department at Williams College. While a resident of Northampton she was a communicant of St. Mary's church in Northampton. Her husband Terrance Charles Farley Sr. died on Apr. 27, 1997; they were married on Apr. 20, 1936 in St. Francis Church. She leaves two sons, Terrance C. "Chip" Farley Jr. of N.M., and Robert C.J. Farley of Texas. She also leaves five grandchildren, Melissa Fauss, Kristen Dwyer, Jane Doran, Katherine Levens, and Anne Farley; and eight great-grandchildren; and cousins. FUNERAL NOTICE: Funeral Services for Margaret (Roach) Farley will be held on Monday, Dec. 8, at St. Patrick & Raphael Parish in Williamstown, at 11 a.m. Calling hours will be held on Monday morning from 9:30 - 10:30 a.m. at the FLYNN DAGNOLI FUNERAL HOME - CENTRAL CHAPELS 74 Marshall St. North Adams.
