LaCrosse George

1928-2014 Mrs. Margaret Elaine (LaCrosse) George, 85 of 22 George Ave. North Adams, died Sunday March 2, 2014 at Williamstown Commons. She was born in Albany, N.Y., on July 20, 1928, daughter of Charles and Sadie (Wambolt) LaCrosse. She attended schools in Troy, N.Y. Margaret was a homemaker for many years. After raising her family, she worked at Storey Communications until her retirement. She was a communicant of the former Incarnation Church. Margaret was a member of the Adams Turners. She especially enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren. She was the widow of Harry John George who died on February 3, 2011. They were married on August 5, 1950. Survivors include three daughters; Joan Conroy of Florida, Mass.; Christine LaCroix and Lynda Field of North Adams. She also leaves three grandchildren including April Field, Shawn Field, and Jena-Lyn Bunn; and four great grandchildren including Kayla Field, Michael Field, Athena Donovan, and Eddie Bunn; one sister, Doris Curry of Garden Grove, Calif.; and nieces and nephews. Her grandson, Michael C. Field died August 14, 1994 and her brother Charles LaCrosse is deceased. FUNERAL NOTICE: The funeral for Margaret George will be Wednesday March 5, 2014 at 11:00 AM at FLYNN & DAGNOLI-MONTAGNA HOME FOR FUNERALS WEST CHAPELS, 521 West Main St. North Adams. Burial will follow in Southlawn cemetery in Williamstown. Calling hours at the funeral home are Tuesday (today) from 4-7 PM. Memorial contributions may be made to the Michael C.
