Marguerite M. Fresia

1925-2012 PITTSFIELD Marguerite M. Fresia, 86. formerly of 94 Barker Road, Pittsfield, died Monday, September 3, 2012, at Hillcrest Commons where she had resided the past eighteen months.

Born in Pittsfield on October 29, 1925, a daughter of Jean and Jeanne Miclette Arseneau, she was educated in Pittsfield schools.

She had been a clerk with General Electric Company for 37 years retiring in 1985.

Mrs. Fresia was a communicant of St. Joseph Church and had been a communicant of the former Notre Dame Church.

She was a member of the General Electric Quarter Century and Pensioners Clubs, and had been a member of the Retired Senior Volunteer Program.

She enjoyed walking and gardening.

Her husband, Edward E. Fresia, whom she married January 13, 1945, in Notre Dame Church, died August 12, 1979.

Mrs. Fresia is survived by a son, Rick Fresia and his wife, Jan, of Phoenix Arizona; and three grandchildren, Matthew Fresia, and twins, Hannah M. Fresia and Molly E. Fresia; as well as two sisters, Elaine Folan of the state of Florida and June DiPalazzo of Pittsfield.

She was pre-deceased by three brothers, Maurice Arseneau, Robert Arseneau, and Marcel Arseneau, and three sisters, Madeleine Monterosso, Cecile Lacaillade, and Irene Geerholt.

FUNERAL NOTICE: Funeral services for Marguerite M. Fresia will be held Saturday, September 8, at 8:15 a.m. from DERY FUNERAL HOME with a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 9 a.m. at St. Joseph Church celebrated by Rev. Msgr. Michael A. Shershanovich, Pastor. Burial will follow in St. Joseph's Cemetery. Calling hours will be Friday, from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in memory of Mrs. Fresia may be made to the Food Bank of Western Massachusetts in care of the Funeral Home, 54 Bradford Street, Pittsfield.
