Marie Antoinette Rotolo Berger

1930-2013 Mrs. Marie Antoinette "Dolly" Rotolo Berger, 83 of 1807 Persimmon Circle Edgewater, Fla., and a former longtime resident of 71 Cady St. North Adams, died Sunday July 21, 2013 at Florida Hospital Memorial Medical Center in Daytona Beach, Fla.

She was born in North Adams, on April 2, 1930, daughter of Theodore and Philomena (Blasi) Rotolo. She attended local schools and graduated from Drury High School with the class of 1947.

Dolly worked at JJ Newberry and Sprague Electric Co. She then became a homemaker, devoting herself to raising her family. Dolly then returned to work as a unit secretary at North Adams Regional Hospital, where she worked until her retirement in 1993.

She was a communicant of St. Anthony of Padua Church and was a member of the Daughters of Italy and the Johnson School Parent-Teacher Group.

Survivors include her husband Donald S. Berger, whom she married on May 20, 1950. One daughter, Kathleen Dimitropolis and her husband, Stephen of Adams, four sons, Richard Berger and his wife, Judy of Easthampton, Mass.; David Berger and his wife, Susan of North Adams; John Berger and his wife, Christine of Pittsfield; and Thomas Berger of Lenox. She also leaves eight grandchildren, Matthew Berger, Corey Berger, Chelsea Berger, Haley Berger, Allyson Berger, Eric Dimitropolis, Andrew Colby, and Rebecca Lymberis; four step great grandchildren; one sister- Elizabeth Detweiler of Gilbert, Ariz.; one brother- Frederick Rotolo and his wife, Carol of Deltona, Fla.; and nieces, nephews, grandnieces, and grandnephews.

Three sisters are deceased including Theodora Delisle, Constance Tanguay, and Theresa Rotolo.

FUNERAL NOTICE: Services for Dolly Berger will be at a later date. There are no calling hours. Burial will be in Southview cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the in care of FLYNN & DAGNOLI-MONTAGNA HOME FOR FUNERALS CENTRAL CHAPEL, 74 Marshall St. North Adams, MA 01247.
